The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$276,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing new efforts that combine Google Service, Machine Learning, and the perception capabilities of Augmented Reality (AR) hardware to enable novel interaction and abilities that may yield high value to our users.
- Use prototyping, iteration, and integration with first-party and third-party Machine Learning back-ends, working with operations for data collection, researchers to fine tune models, and UX/apps engineers to incubate end-to-end experiences in a feedback loop to establish product market fit.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
- Experience in Python, natural language processing, and machine learning algorithms
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical related field
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and cross-business projects.
- Experience with the Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with applications development
- Experience building and launching a customer facing product
