As a Senior Accountant, you'll be an integral part of Figma’s accounting org. As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in building the financial future of our company by performing general accounting activities as well as maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-starter who can work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis at month-end close (Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accruals etc.)
Carry out month-end and year-end procedures and facilitate accurate financial period cut-off procedures, including management of accruals
Maintain new and existing lease schedules in accordance with ASC 842
Help identify, drive, and implement process improvements while documenting new and existing processes
Support systems implementations and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new accounting tools
Prepare schedules and documentation supporting internal and external audits
Be a strategic business advisor and prepare ad-hoc reports and special analyses to facilitate management's ability to understand business issues and drivers
Collaborate and partner with internal and external contacts at all levels
Research important accounting issues and suggest the best practices and applications in accordance with accounting standards
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
4+ years of combined public accounting and corporate accounting experience (2+ years at a high-growth technology company preferred)
Strong technical and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate attention to detail, great time management and organization skills
Experience working in various accounting systems (NetSuite is a plus)
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
