As an UX Researcher on the Horizon team at Meta, you will help bring the transformative potential of embodied social and gaming experiences to everyone who uses our technologies, and tackle some of the most novel research problems in the industry.

Qualitative UX Researcher - Horizon Metaverse Responsibilities
- Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics
- Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products
- Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods, including both traditional UXR approaches and methods more commonly used in gaming and entertainment spaces
- Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a dynamic group of stakeholders
- Generate insights that both fuel ideation and strategy and inform and evaluate art and design directions
- Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant research experience or a Master’s degree in industry related field and 8+ years of relevant research experience, or PhD in related industry field and 5+ years of relevant research experience
- Relevant experience within user experience, an applied research setting and/or product research and development
- Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research using multiple creative methods
- Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
- Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience crafting and delivering compelling narratives at the executive level
- Degree in a human behavior related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics
- Experience and interest in Games and Games research in addition to more traditional UXR methods
