The Games Partner Engineering Team is a set of multidisciplinary experts in gaming, software development, and Netflix technologies. Passionate, independent problem-solvers who are doing their best to balance the challenges of a growing platform with urgent needs from a diverse set of stakeholders.
We're looking for a Games Partner Engineering Manager who can create a strong vision and viable roadmap as well as build and lead a team of world-class partner engineers. You will help the team overcome technical, organizational (prioritization, visibility, strategy), and interpersonal challenges, that come with the ever-increasing volume and complexity of our productions.
As a Partner Engineering Manager you will:
- Support your team by helping them understand priorities and enabling them to ignore distractions and non-productive influences
- Be an exemplar of the Netflix culture
- Demonstrate consistent curiosity in the game's lifecycle workflows and contribute towards the broader games strategy and goals.
- Position yourself as a thought leader with stakeholders and build trusting partnerships
- Act as a credible technical advisor to the team
- Understand the tradeoffs and balance between critical business needs and strong engineering principles
- Make thoughtful decisions in complex, ambiguous situations
- Informed risk-taking - make strategic bets while driving tactical execution
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing environment where every member feels respected, reflected, and expected
- Hold a high bar in hiring and retention, and coach, mentor, and grow a diverse group of software engineers
