The moment you submit your applicaiton with your resume and other pertinent information, Datadog takes the initiatve to ensure they make you feel that you're part of their family.

And of course... each job role application process may have it's own variation, but have a standard hiring process.

So, let's dive in and unpack their welcoming hiring process.


Datadog's Interview Process

What's great about Datadog's hiring process is that Datadog ensures you get exposure to many Datadog employees. Hence, you can learn more about the people and their impact so you can make an infomred descision if Datadog and their culture is the right company fit for you.

So let's start with step 1 - Initial screen...

1. Initial Screen

This is an initial conversation for our hiring team to get to know you and for you to share your aspirations for this career opportunity with us. In most cases, this first conversation will take place by phone or Zoom with the recruiter and or Hiring Manager for the role.

2. Face-to-Face Interview

Depending on the role you're interviewing for, this stage may consist of multiple rounds or panels. You will meet with the recruiter, the hiring manager, or another member of the team you are interviewing with.

3. Take-Home Project

Depending on the role you're interviewing for, you may be asked to complete a take-home project. For those who do have a take-home project, your recruiter will walk you through the project expectations and scope.

4. DExecutive Interview

For some roles, you’ll meet with an executive leader as a final step to the interview process. This is an opportunity for leaders to learn more about your experience, as well as for you to learn more about the larger team through the lens of a Datadog leader.

5. Selection

After all the interviews, the interviewing team meets together to find the best candidate for the role. If you're selected, your Recruiter will contact you with an offer!

6. Post-Interview Survey

We want your feedback and input on the interview process so we can continue providing an exceptional experience, and send a post-interview survey to any candidate who spoke with our hiring team.
