We are looking for a curious, driven and results-focused Staff Accountant to help support the Campus Dining - Accounting and Finance functions at Grubhub. The scope of this role is wide and will touch all areas of accounting, from supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable and month end close activities to helping us maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP. The Impact You Will Make
Support Accounts Receivable processes including invoicing, issuing quotes, daily cash receipts and cash reconciliation; maintenance of customer records and answering customer inquiries (account updates, billing questions, account reconciliations/ discrepancies, etc); assisting with internal requests from other departments
Manage AR collection and maintain working relationships with customers including inquiries on overdue invoices and follow up with clients on payment details
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for period-end close and audits
Manage Fixed Assets, Inventory, Accruals, and Prepaid Accounts
Assist with Accounts Payable (reviewing GL coding and inputting bills)
Assist with Revenue Reconciliation, Revenue Accrual journal entries, AR Reserves
Perform Bank Account reconciliations
Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
Perform tax compliance tasks as needed including year-end reporting of 1099s, revenue by state, etc.
Collaborate cross-functionally to build partnerships and increase effectiveness of our team
Researching and resolving issues or discrepancies with clients’ accounts, bill pay or invoices
Assist with various Accounting related ad-hoc projects/ reports as needed
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of Accounting experience preferably in the tech industry.
Experience with Intacct preferred
Must be proficient with MS Excel - V-look Up, Pivot table functions
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
Provide quality of work including speed and accuracy
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
