Remote Job Description

As a Solutions Engineer at CommentSold, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of our sales process, working with larger potential customers with detailed technical needs. You’ll partner with the Enterprise and Sales teams to advise on the technical components of our products and services, serving as an SME for the more technical needs that arise. 

In addition, a product expert, you will present and explain the technical and functional aspects of the CommentSold platform to prospective customers during their evaluation period, making sure they fully understand the value of our product and services. This is a position that combines technical knowledge, educational capabilities, and sales skills.

In this role, you will 

  • Conduct in-depth, often custom demos of CommentSold’s products and services, working with GTM Enablement to develop the content needed to present the product effectively
  • Travel (US only) to share the product and features to prospective customers at events such as industry conferences and seminars
  • Negotiate contract terms with some of our larger potential customers, promoting the value of our services and how that value will help their business
  • Work closely with new customers to match their implementation needs with the capabilities of the CommentSold products; leveraging both deep product and technical expertise to identify creative solutions
  • Troubleshoot customer problems as they navigate joining the platform and getting set up 
  • Gather, document, and communicate customer requirements to Product Management and Customer Success teams and manage the execution process as it relates to customer communication and expectations 
  • Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and retention
  • Provide advanced training and support for the Sales and Onboarding teams as an expert on the technical aspects of our product suite
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of our product features and how they work technically, but also how they improve retail operations
  • Identify opportunities to facilitate a smoother a faster sales process through information acquired by working with some of our more complex product needs
If you’re right for this role, you 

  • Have experience working with SaaS products in a Sales and/or Technical Implementation capacity
  • Can explain technical concepts with ease to a non-technical audience
  • Have excellent process and time management skills
  • Have worked with Product teams to deliver product optimization feedback 
  • Have prior front-end programming experience (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS), familiarity with web debugging tools (e.g. Chrome Dev Tools), and the ability to review and understand API documentation
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, etc.)
  • Have experience working alongside engineering teams, in a very close technical capacity
  • Have exceptional presentation acumen, understanding how to read and cater to a variety of audiences
  • Work well cross-functionally and forge close relationships
  • Experience writing content and making contributions to internal and external technical documentation
