Very is a technology partner to companies that are driving forward by entering into the Internet of Things space. As a Solutions Engineer you will be on the forefront of the Digital Transformation of Mid Market to Large companies. While this role lives within the Sales team, you will need to integrate deeply into the Delivery team to ensure we provide quality advice to potential customers and proposals that have accurate estimates of completion time and cost. We’re looking for someone who is strong and who can talk to clients with confidence in the following areas:
- Digital Transformation
- Big Data/Data Strategy
That also can develop ROI positive strategies for our current and future clients, working closely with our Data Science practice to clearly articulate downstream program implementation details.
On a more practical level, the person filling this role will be well-versed in the high level function as well as details of various technologies, including:
AWS and the supporting ecosystem
GCP and the supporting ecosystem
Databases and common data patterns
- AWS RDS
- GCP Cloud SQL
- Data Pipelines
Common BI tools that sit in these ecosystems
- Data Studio
Nice to have: some experience “data wrangling with python”

You’ll spend the majority of your time working with potential clients - showing them our expertise, acting as a strategic advisor, and ultimately selling them on our services. This means that you’ll need to have a background in presenting to clients and pushing them to be successful.
We value honesty with our clients (and they love it too), so this person should not be afraid to speak up at any time with a suggestion on how things should work, not how the client has said they think they should work.
How You’ll Be Compensated
We believe in a transparent, fair compensation structure and have developed our own open salary formula. Depending on your skill and experience, you can expect your On Target Earnings (Base + Bonus) to be somewhere between $150,000-$175,000 in your first year.
