The Privacy Sandbox aims to keep people's activities private across a free and open internet. Privacy Sandbox for the Web will phase out third-party cookies and limit covert tracking for Chrome’s users. By creating new web standards, it will provide publishers with safer alternatives to existing technology, so they can continue building digital businesses while user data stays private.
As a Product Manager for the Ecosystem team within Privacy Sandbox, you will focus on forming a privacy preserving advertising ecosystem. By collaborating with industry on new innovations, standards, and initiatives, you will help transition the Internet to privacy preserving advertising.
The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products—from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones—that have an impact on people’s lives across the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $194,000-$292,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Contribute to forming a clear, coherent ecosystem product strategy for Privacy Sandbox and drive it forward, getting buy-in from stakeholders across the industry.
- Test assumptions and hypotheses about the customer problem, target market, and product with the industry.
- Promote privacy preserving advertising technologies to the ad industry.
- Lead the identification of ecosystem needs from formative research, market gaps, or technical insights. Suggest a clear picture of what it means to solve identified ecosystem needs for the Privacy Sandbox.
- Communicate effectively with a number of partner teams in Chrome, Privacy Sandbox, Android, Ads, and others to ensure alignment on product direction and plans.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in a product management, consulting, co-founder, or related technical role.
- 5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
- 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
- 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
