As Phone Platform API Product Manager, you will help shape our API capabilities for Zoom Phone, enabling our partners to integrate with Zoom Phone and bring Zoom Phone capabilities into their applications. You will work closely with product managers on the phone team to understand the greater roadmap, milestones and functionality. Your goal is to ensure Zoom Phone can continue to evolve into a powerful platform.

Serve as the point person for your product area to leadership and across the organization.
Understand the competitive API landscape in telecommunications and how each competitor serves developer needs/trends
Have a clear understanding of how developers serving our customers can be segmented and profiled into distinct personas and their core needs
Define developer needs and personas and help guide deals in the pipeline towards the right integration solution
Be aware of integrations in the pipeline and understand future API needs and the revenue tied to those needs
Formulate our API strategy, development sequence and prioritization framework
Define the external API framework for each upcoming feature and work closely with the platform team to build and deploy the new APIs along side the new features
Work with the platform team to design and develop API frameworks in a timely manner to align with the Zoom Phone roadmap
Work cross functionally to ensure the APIs you launch interoperate with other products in the Zoom product suite
Understand various business models utilized by partners and developers and how API pricing decisions may affect those partners
Work with developer relations team to develop educational content for developers, helping them onboard faster
Use data to make good decisions when confronted by ambiguity. Analyze API KPI’s to identify, size and prioritize areas for improvement. Develop regular reporting as needed.
Understand technical dependencies and be able to communicate what's needed to our engineering teams
Drive technical partnership and integration with 3rd party (commerce) applications and service providers. Helping manage internal and external engineering resources to ensure on-time completion of projects. Work closely with Zoom’s Platform and Marketplace team to influence API and platform decisions.
Evangelize the phone platform to internal stakeholders, development community and customers
8+ Years Product Management experience.
Ability to crystallize vague concepts into concise plans.
Deep experience with communication API ecosystems and PaaS
Strong background in development trends and developer needs
Experience building out APIs for SaaS products and evolving those products into platforms
Understanding that speed is everything but prioritizing the right thing is equally important - you appreciate delivering impact quickly.
