Remote Job Description

We’re looking for a Finance Manager of FP&A to bolster our growing FP&A team. In this position, you will work closely with your peers in FP&A and business partners across Fastly to enhance our forecast accuracy as well as provide actionable insights into the health of our business. This is a great role for someone who is a self-starter, enjoys a fast paced environment, is excited to build processes and a team, enjoys interacting with several business partners, and has strong analytical and communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a best-in-class business partnering function, where department leaders are empowered to make critical budgeting and resource allocation decisions, and lead the FP&A team in its implementation
  • Lead the team in the consolidation and maintenance of our financial model in Adaptive Insights
  • Serve as a mentor and manager to the analysts & senior analysts on the FP&A team
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecast and annual budget models, consolidated reporting, and variance analyses to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommended paths forward
  • Contribute insightful commentary to support quarterly earnings announcements
  • Work closely with accounting to close monthly financials accurately and on a timely basis
  • Establish and cultivate strong partnerships throughout Fastly
  • Support finance leadership with special projects and ad hoc analyses
What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a qualitative discipline
  • 7+ years FP&A experience in a fast growing private company and/or a public company, with a portion of that experience managing the corporate FP&A model and business partnering
  • People management experience required
  • Highly inquisitive, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience modeling in and maintaining Adaptive Insights required
  • Strong Excel modeling and Powerpoint presentation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond when needed

In accordance with applicable law, Fastly’s minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is $103,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fastly's equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations. Note that this role is available to candidates outside of Colorado and different minimum compensation may apply.
